Say yes more often
Kate Carter

It’s easy to say no.

“I don’t like that.”

“That sucks.”

“Lol, I can tell you about a million reasons why this won’t work.”

No is a decisive and powerful tool.

But in the creative process, here’s the thing about saying no—it closes people off,it kills imaginative and generative thinking, it shuts down possibility.

It’s much harder to say yes, to look at the possibility of an idea, to encourage others to see it with you.

But once you start saying it, you create more possibility and momentum, it generates ideas and work people didn’t know they were capable of creating.
