Follow your strengths, manage your weaknesses
Nick Carter

As a writer, I’m instantly skeptical of writing advice. The best I ever read, though, the only thing I tell anyone who asks me for advice, is this:

Follow your strengths, manage your weaknesses.

As creatives and creative directors, we push ourselves and others to strengthen what we perceive as weaknesses. We call this growth.

What if instead we redirected that energy to encourage people to double, triple, infinity down on what they do best? What if that was growth?

What might we make with such focus and support?

Your strengths are your talents. They make you special. Trust them, follow them, keep building them up.

Worry less about your weaknesses.
